Stand and Jean Perron Child Advocacy Centre - Perth, WA

The Stand and Jean Perron Child Advocacy Centre is a purpose-built facility providing safe accommodation and support for children and young people affected by abuse-related trauma. As the second of its kind in Australia, it brings together Parkerville Children and Youth Care, WA Police, and the WA Department of Child Protection to deliver an integrated, accessible support system for vulnerable children and families.

Project Design Brief

The design intent was to ensure that stormwater captured from the building’s roof could efficiently infiltrate back into the ground. Due to limited available space, designers needed to maximise the storage capacity of the infiltration tank while accommodating the building’s footings and piers.
